Unleashing the Power of Skills: Lucknow Kaushal Mahotsav 2023

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation, the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and the UP government, is organizing a two-day employment festival called Kaushal Mahotsav in Lucknow on March 4 and 5. The event will take place at Colvin Taluqdars' College, and is expected to offer around 30,000 job opportunities across multiple sectors to aspiring youths.

According to Neeraj Singh from BJP, who spoke at the recently concluded Global Investors Summit, over 18,000 companies participated and MoUs worth Rs 33.5 lakh crore were signed. These industries would require skilled manpower, making programmes like Kaushal Mahotsav crucial for the youth. On-the-spot offers of employment will be made, bringing recruiters and job seekers together on the same platform.

Diwakar Tripathi, representative of Lucknow MP and defence minister Rajnath Singh, stated that the minister fully supported the development of Lucknow, which resulted in the creation of 19 overbridges and 105 km of ring road, making UP an attractive destination for companies to invest in. National Skill Development Corporation executive vice president Manish Mishra highlighted the importance of the event in strengthening the state's infrastructure through the participation of industries from sectors such as automotive, logistics, production, electronics, apparel, and tourism.

Apart from job opportunities, the event will also offer apprenticeships, counselling, pre-screening, motivational sessions, and information regarding career opportunities. Over 18,000 people have already registered for the event, which promises to provide a significant boost to the employability of the state's talented youth.
