Uttar Pradesh to Emerge as India's New Industrial Hub
State Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh highlighted that Uttar Pradesh is experiencing a significant transformation, with a new identity as the country's emerging industrial hub in the last 5-6 years.
The state's Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, is continuously improving law and order and implementing better infrastructure initiatives, which have led to positive outcomes. The recent UP Global Investors Summit resulted in the signing of 18,643 MoUs worth Rs 33.5 lakh crore, with Bundelkhand and Purvanchal regions receiving notable investments.
Singh addressed the ongoing Uttar Pradesh International Trade Expo (UPITEX) during a conference on 'Making Uttar Pradesh the Unicorn Hub of India.' He expressed that UP is a bright spot for the nation, just like India is a bright spot globally. Additionally, Singh highlighted the state's potential in tourism and announced that the new tourism policy would offer substantial incentives and subsidies for entrepreneurs.
Harish Khatri, the Founder and MD of India Assists, stated that his company is supporting startups and providing them with fund capital to facilitate their growth path. Aditya Prasad, Head of Business Development at Enterprise Incubation Centre, IIM-Lucknow, mentioned that the centre offers seed funding ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 50 lakh and incubates startups for two years.
